The designer, having participated in beauty pageants, discovered that there is very little “One size fits All” clothing in this world full of diversity. From that discovery came her skill of recreating unfitting clothing to fit her body shape in areas that were of uniqueness. What other ways can one share her personal struggles turned into a solution for the one in the same position than giving an opportunity in the art of design? In 2009, the designer began creating African traditional dance costumes, yearly, as well as cultural dress for traditional leaders.
These costumes were limiting the passion of creating for individuals for daily use from season to season hence the birth of GGY Collections, which is a brand for people of all ages, all genders and all cultures locally, nationally and internationally.
